1977, Chongqing, China and I’m 7 years old. No, we cannot be slave for our life. We, common people without any talent, are the real owner of the land of China. People born on earth and God/nature has given every one a portion of land to live. No one including official, millionaire, professor can make a square inch of land. So with respect to land, every one should be equal and have the equal portion of land. China has a land of 9.6 million square kilometers, about the same size as the United States, and in the 2010s, it has about 1 billion adults. By calculation, every adult in China has about 2 acres of land on average, which is 3 times as that of Britain and Japan respectively. Every Chinese should at least get half an acre of land. This means that we should number the land in China with half an acre as a unit for 1 billion portions, and let the 1 billion Chinese adults go to the people elected government to draw a number to have his/her land, one person one portion. The land cannot be inherited and should go back to the democratic government upon one’s death and let people who become 18 years old later to draw the number to have the land. The land right is the No. 1 human right. If one does not have his/her land and has to work on other people’s land, then one can only be other’s slave.
When one has a portion of land, it is not difficult to build a house. For one-story house, people can build it themselves. 1. Dig the foundation about 1 yard deep. 2. Hire the professional to do the plumbing and one may purchase and install the inlet water system by oneself. 3. Hire the electrician to install the electric circuit and the Internet line. 4. One with a couple of friends using the bricks, cements, wood, build the house up. The house/independent house in democratic country is built up like so. According the price in China in 2009, building a house with two bedrooms, 400 square feet, needs about 6,000 U. S. dollars, and if one buy an apartment in China with price largely set by the Communist regime, it will be about 200,000 U. S. dollars. If one having a portion of economic resource, willing to do more by oneself, one may cut down more cost. Once the house is built up, one’s housing issue of the life is solved.
Half an acre land for every one can yield the foodstuff about 1500 pound per year, which is enough to raise 4 people a year, not counting the land getting by the spouse. The Communist high officials always say how miserable the farming labor is and the meal we have has been through the labor of a thousand people and it has liberated us from the countryside and we should be grateful for it. Actually, farming labor is not miserable at all. Farming in the countryside is just like gardening in the city, which is all to bury the seed into the soil about half an inch deep. If there is no rain, water it once or twice per week. After it is planted, let it be and more handling is likely to make it worse. The farming won’t be too tiring because one only has half an acre of land, which is a square with the side being about 45 meters/yards. So once one has a portion of land, one should solve all the living issues of housing, food by working 1 hour per day on average.
Most people should be able to solve their housing and food by their own land and do not need the welfares of housing and food from the government, and the government mainly offer the welfares of education and medical care. With every one able to solve one’s living by working 1 hour per day and the polluting enterprises being shut down by people, the chance of people to get ill will be much less than that of the 2010s in China and accordingly the cost on medical care will be much less. So by working 1 hour per day, one should be able to solve all the 4 living issues o housing, food, education and medical care. Welfare right is also every one’s basic human rights.
